Section 26
Settlement of Guthi Subordinate Lands
(1) After the commencement of this Act, Jotaha in the Kathmandu valley and hill areas shall deliver the land to the registrant and the registrant Mohi shall pay to the Rajguthi the total value of the land or partial land and the price of the land in cash. Special tillage farmers will get mohiani rights according to prevailing laws.
(2) The registered owner whose rights are terminated according to sub-section (1) shall receive an amount equal to ten times the amount of the property levied on his former land as per the prevailing law as compensation as specified. The registrant who gets compensation in that way will get the amount of compensation after deducting the arrears due to Guthi.
(3) According to sub-section (2), the amount of compensation given to the registered farmer shall be paid by the particular farmer who becomes his right after the registered owner's rights expire, as specified in the institute.
(3a) If it is found that the arrears have not been paid to the institute by the registered farmer, the farmer must submit to the institute that the amount for the period of such arrears has been paid to the registered farmer.
(3B) If the copy of the copy submitted according to sub-section (3A) cannot be submitted, the copy of the copy will have to be submitted to the institute.
(4) If the farmer who is entitled to the land after the right of registration expires and does not pay the amount of compensation as specified in sub-section (3) or if he does not pay the arrears as specified in sub-section (3b), take the same action as if he did not pay the land, and take the prescribed fee on that land. (5) If action is taken in accordance with sub-section (4) and another mohi is established, such mohi shall pay the remaining amount of compensation to be paid to the registered mohi whose rights have been terminated as per sub-section (3) and also the amount as per sub-section (3B) as specified in the institute.

(7) Regardless of what is written in this section, if someone has obtained the right to build a house-and-bari on any subordinate land and settled there, the land will be registered in the name of that person in the Mohiani to the extent of the land that is entitled to keep the house-and-bari according to the prevailing Nepalese law.
